Croquis from Thursday. Tried a different approach which worked quite well. Had a new model which was nice but it was difficult to get the proportions right for a little while. 30 seconds up to 5 minutes.

Self Portraits
The collection of self-portraits I have been working on during my time at the drawing academy.
The first self-portrait I worked on during my first semester at the TDA. This was in may and I had very little idea how to properly draw a portrait. I never finished the portrait and this version is still lying in a box in my closet at home in Poland. Only 3 hours done on this portrait.
Self-portrait 2. Started working on this one this semester so semester 2 of the TDA. A lot more successful and a lot more hours were put into this one. This portrait at this point in time is 21 hours of work. I have pictures of all the phases it went through but I'd rather not show them :/
Self-portrait 3. The last of the self-portrait I have been working on I started this one directly after the last one. This one is only 6 hours so far and I hope to work on this one a lot more in the future but so far it is at a very good start. This is the first study we did on the pastel paper in class and the first time we used oil base pencils for a long study. Almost completely front view. Needed a little tilt so I would be able to make the form volumetric.
The Kitty Portrait
And so the portrait era begins :D This is the collection of the portraits I have worked on excluding my self-portraits :)
Portraits started with the drawing of a bust. 10 hours and mild construction. The understanding of the skull however was beginning to happen.
Kitty take 1. First portrait of live model. 5 hours from extreme perspective the volume is almost accomplished.
Portrait of Signe. 6 Hours. Oil base pencil on pastel paper :D
Kitty take 2. Oil base pencil on pastel paper. 6 hours :)
Kitty take 3. Final portrait of Kitty completed in 5 hours incorporating the sketch as the construction as well. Next focus would of been the extremities and the forehead.
Full Body Longstudies
Full body long studies of two different models
Completed on September 25 after 7 hours. The anatomy and the volume are weak on this study and there is no solidity to the form but the understanding of the pelvis is beginning to be there.
Completed October 16th, 6 hours. Understanding of the anatomy and volume is beginning to show but the composition was forgotten and the pose becomes weak.
New update of a figure pose next week along with croquis!
Bone Studies
Bones studies done at the end of August. The construction is lacking but the sketch and explanation of the form is rathe strong.
The foot from profile.
The skull from 3/4 view from below so there is a little perspective one it.
The pelvis fron two different angles.
