The collection of self-portraits I have been working on during my time at the drawing academy.
The first self-portrait I worked on during my first semester at the TDA. This was in may and I had very little idea how to properly draw a portrait. I never finished the portrait and this version is still lying in a box in my closet at home in Poland. Only 3 hours done on this portrait.
Self-portrait 2. Started working on this one this semester so semester 2 of the TDA. A lot more successful and a lot more hours were put into this one. This portrait at this point in time is 21 hours of work. I have pictures of all the phases it went through but I'd rather not show them :/
Self-portrait 3. The last of the self-portrait I have been working on I started this one directly after the last one. This one is only 6 hours so far and I hope to work on this one a lot more in the future but so far it is at a very good start. This is the first study we did on the pastel paper in class and the first time we used oil base pencils for a long study. Almost completely front view. Needed a little tilt so I would be able to make the form volumetric.
